ipr screen

I just pulled my ipr valve and there is no screen on it, does this mean it is stuck inside? Has anyone had this happen? Best way to remove? Thanks.

What do you mean you "pulled the cover and got it out"…did you pull the entire HPOP out? I am trying to avoid that. I can see my screen back there but can't seem to get at it.

All set - I used a small flathead screwdriver to loosen it up and then a magnet to pull it out! I ended up buying a new IPR valve (comes with o-rings, screen) since the one I pulled out looked like the original OEM part. She purrs like a kitten now

I agree, except in this case, I believe the debris came from a poor oil cooler install that just took place prior to this issue. I'm going to cross my fingers and hope I don't have to go back in there and rip the oil cooler out. I will check the IPR screen in a week or so also to see if she's picked up any more debris.

Thank you for the idea just the same - much appreciated!
