i know this topic has probably come up multiple times but... i have a 2004 f350 6.0 that i have only had for about 2 months
and i went to work in the morning, came home in the afternoon, let the truck sit for about 4 hours, jumped back in the truck to go to the store and went to start it and nothin but cranking. its showing that i have NO oil pressure. could this be the high pressure oil pump? from what i have read it seems like it could also be the crankshaft sensor? any input helps. thanks guys!

do you have any way of monitoring your icp?
i'd say out on a guess that it is not your pump. the pump on the 04 is far less common than that on the 03. every 04 i've dealt with for oil pressure concerns is either the regulator causing low base oil pressure issues or the stc fitting aka the branch tube adapter that screws into the pump and connects it to the branch tube which is the supply to the injectors. |
