Y-pipe keeps cracking after EGR delete - Need help

Hi. I'm looking for some help here. The truck is a 2006 F-350 with 124,000 miles. The head gaskets went about 8 weeks ago and the rebuild included, among other things, a Sinister EGR delete. One week after getting the truck back together, there was a tremendous whistle which ended up being a crack in the Y-pipe flex joint (not sure which side). It was replaced and about three weeks after that, same thing: crack in passenger side flex joint. Replaced again and now it has happened again on the passenger side. It seems that each time it happens is shortly after I've towed. So three cracked Y-pipes in 8 weeks.

I am not the mechanic though I've been happy with the shop doing the work. The mechanic said that he did not have to fight the install and the Y-pipe and up-pipe lined up better on my truck with the EGR delete than other installations he has done. There have been no problems on those other installations either.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be helpful. I can't be replacing Y-pipes every 3 weeks. What might be going on here? Thanks in advance.

Those flex sections are designed to make the install/mating up with the exhaust components easier, but usually when you have this kind of repeat failure, it is due to them getting pulled too far one way or the other. Since this has happened repeatedly within a very short timeframe, makes me wonder about the install... Are these being covered by any warranty by the installer?

Yes, so far the installer has done the replacements under warranty. Does anyone have a write up of the sequence to install?
