6.0 bad mpg

My 6.0 only gives 9.4 mpg? What a good mpg on a 6.0?
How can I get better fuel mileage?

I am only getting around 12.8 on everday usage. Are there any tips for better fuel economy. My truck is all stock, except for a replacement front bumper. Also looking to do this on a budget. Any and all tips are appreciated. I have a 2006 f-250 lariat fx4 c/c 6.0

I understand the lead foot, I too suffer from having heavy feet. at one point I saw my mpg at 13.7 but that was awhile ago.

My truck is an 05. Engine is all stock nothing has been done to it. Other then 3 injectors n a fuel pressure regulator. Has a 8in lift kit with 37 in tires. N before I took it to the ford dealer for the injectors, I was getting 14 to 17 mpg.
