How do you test your glow plugs?

I have the glow plugs out of my truck and wanted to test them. Do you hold one probe of the meter on the threads of the plug and one at the connecting tip and see if they have continuity? Or how do you check them? Thanks

Set your meter on Ohms, hold one probe on the threaded area and the other on the tip were the glow plug wire connects to it. You should ohm out close to the same on every glow plug.
A good glow plug will read btwn 0.8 - 1.2 ohms a weak glow plug will have much less resistance, and a completely dead one will have unlimited resistance through it because the electrode is internally burned out.
