04 bad miss any sugesstions

my step dad has an 04 6.0 recently started missing really bad no power hardly at all no CEL on ever any ideas?

injector sticiton maybe. have him switch to 5w-40 synthetic. maybe use rev-x too. test the ficm voltage tho.

Do you have any way to monitor the engine? A "miss" could be a ton of things and we will all be guessing at this point. I too had proper FICM voltages. After extensive testing and replacing parts, my issue still ended up being the FICM on the logical half of the unit.

he has no way to monitor it. what was your truck doing? my FICM went bad recently but my voltage was like 32.4 his truck literally sucks right now, it doesnt smoke at all white or black never has.

I was getting circuit high codes on cylinders 2 3 5 8. The truck sounded like it was missing. FICM voltage held at 48.0v. Swapped in a loaner FICM and everything returned to normal. So I replaced my unit.
