oil leak
Have oil leak in front of engine looks like out of timing chain cover

![]() ![]() I am not sure what your question is? Yes these truck seam to leak all over the place sometimes. You will happy to know there is no timing chain on a 6.0. The cam and crank are connected by gears on the back side of the engine. Welcome to the .org. |

More often than not, the leaks originate in a different location than where they are spotted. Do you usually park the truck on a decline. You may have a leak on top of the engine which is running down the valley and continuing down the front. Usual culprits are the intercooler boots, turbo drain pipe, oil filter housing, oil cooler gasket failure, etc... The low pressure oil pump is located on the front of the engine as well.

what year is your 6.0, model? it could be your OPRV or your front cover or many other places
