For some reason my brain doesn't wrap around tbc fault.

Generally if the motor won't roll over, its either and electrical start circuit problem or a mechanical problem keeping the engine from being able to rotate.

First, check the batteries. Low voltage when cranking can set that off (as well as eating your FICM).
Next, if anyone has been under the hood recently, and removed the FICM for any reason, loose plugs on the FICM will also throw that message.

The TBC (Trailer Brake Control) fault isn't causing the no start.
