Hissing noise around fuel filter
I have a 2006 F-250 with the 6.0 and after a egr delete I have a hissing noise coming from the fuel filter (on the engine) cap. No fuel leak detected and was wondering if this was something normal maybe air bleed off. It only does it for a few seconds after the fuel pump shuts off (engine not running).

Hissing is not normal, spray it with some soapy water.
Sent from my phone that somebody didn't help me get. |

Are you sure it is from the fuel filter housing? If it is, look for a crack, it might be sucking air. A couple of other members had that after over-torquing and damaging the housing when installing the regulator cover for the blue spring mod. Also try re-clamping the upper rad hose. Next look at the small hose from the degas to the rad. Degas cap?

Thanks for the quick reply no cracks from what I've seen and sprayed with soapy water and no bubbles im gonna try taking it apart and reinstalling tomorrow and hopefully i fix the problem and it happens even just turning the key to the on position and letting the fuel pump turn on thats how i know its coming from that area.

Did all the parts go in the right place? Did you keep the white air-bleed in place on installation or install a new one?

Everything was in place correctly and now everything is fine, It was a normal noise inside the fuel filter my friend clarified with his truck

One of the downfalls of being paranoid and having good hearing

I have the same noise after doing my rebuild and new fuel filter. When you turn the key I can hear it hiss. What'd you do to fix it? Did it just go away?
