2003 possible Turbo problem

i have an early 03 6.0 ford powerstroke.. it is ALL stock i know this because it was my grandfathers and ive read everywhere and seen on youtube about the insane turbo whistle they will have when straightpiped.. i just recently straight piped it.. no cats no muffler... and it has virtually no whistle at all.. i feel like this isnt right.. could the fact that it has the stock air intake have anything to do with the lack of whistle

any answers are appreciated
thanks GOD BLESS

Turbo was probably changed at some point-count the blades on the exhaust turbine. 10=whistle 15=quiet.

Do the 03s have the silencer in the exhaust?
Is the turbo operating properly or does it kinda bog down on take off?
