Random check engine light with no codes?????

I have been getting a random check engine light but when I pull the codes it says 2 but all I get is p0000.
What up with that?

They dont throw a check engine light without a code. Maybe a trans code or something. What kinda scanner are you using and is the truck running rough or anything?

some scanners cannot pull all codes. You may need a tuner to get to some of the codes that don't show on what you may be using...

I am using the Scangage II. Just getting a p0000.
The truck has been starting crappy but runs great when warm.

Possible FICM issue. If you can check your FICM_M voltage when cranking cold and if your dropping below 47 volts your looking at a new FICM. If you dont have a scan tool that will watch the pid there is writeup on here that tells you how to check it out, also I think swamps diesel site also does. Good luck
