I have a stock 05 F250 except 4" MBRP turbo back exhaust, no cat.
2 weeks ago I came out of a store and it just turned over and over for 15 -17 seconds before it started. Then, the rest of the day it ran funny - acted at different times that the motor was surging, especially sitting at a traffic light. It also stalled several times, but was able to restart it immediately.
Yesterday, I went to start it after driving it most of the afternoon, and it would not restart! I wiggled wires and connections, but it still would not start.
No check engine light came on.

Any body have an idea where to start to look????

What is your mileage? Last filter change? Are these 2 incidents isolated? I would not consider myself an expert. But I also have an 05, and it loves to die on my wife. I also had a lot of time to read while I was TDY. Here is where I would start:

Make sure you have no leaks.
Check fuel pressure (at least verify the secondary fuel bowl is filling)
Check FICM voltage

Those are easier/cheaper things to eliminate.

Other possibilities:
HPOP fitting
IPR
EGR

Camshaft Thanks for the response! - I'll check voltage to FICM and fuel to secondary bowl
Truck has ~103,000 miles, oil & filter recently changed, isolated incidents.
1500 miles ago these were done:

HPOP fitting replaced
New cylinder heads
ARP studs
oil cooler
bulletproof egr cooler
