I looking for some direction or feedback. I have got myself into a mess. I bought a 2003 f250 with a 6.0L and 255,xxx miles. I bought the truck as a fixer upper knowing it had engine issues. Here is a list of what the truck is doing. First it idles rough almost like it has a miss. Second when you give it throttle and let off blue smoke amount depends on the amount of throttle. Third I removed the air cleaner ( attempting to find a oil leak) I found oil in the inside of the compressor housing of the turbo. Fourth I started the truck ( to see how much oil was going into the compressor housing) I then discoverd the crank case vent was pouring smokle out. Im guessing thats a damaged cylinder pumping unburnt gases into the crank case. I have read that a damaged cylinder can also create more oil pressure and maybe thats why the turbo has oil in compressor side? Am I jumping to conculsions or do I just have a tired turbo leaking oil and the smoke from the crank case vent is normal? I do not know the history of the truck. I know the 6.0 has many problems but non of them seem to be the issues i am having. Any feedback or advise is greatly apriecated.
