Hey guys.
2004 has been slowly developing some issues. Has always ran rough if not up to 100 percent operating temp. I fouled my egr about 1 month prior to this current issue. It was so gummed with carbon that there was zero flow. That egr was only about a year old as ell so there's been something funky for a while. This latest issue I noticed a slight loss in power for about a week, then it developed a cylinder 6 miss per my edge dtc readout. Ran poor but still driveable. A few days after that it dropped the previous code and picked up a number 4 cylinder contribution fault. The problem comes and goes. More common when the truck is warm. Very poor cold start, and gets worse as temp increases. If you let the truck sit an cool abit it was run clean for about 30 seconds before faulting again. Its not dumping any unusual smoke or anything either. My first suspision was the ficm. I pulled the cover and did the test to find a solid voltage of 48. I want to think its the injector or glowplugs but the fact that it swapt cylinder missfires has made me suspect to that. Curious if anyone has en****ered this problem and what you guys think should be my next step in tracking this thing down. Thanks ahead for any advise
