I have an 04 6.0, I had coolant leaking out the cap of the degas bottle, so I went and replaced the cap, and now its not puking thru the cap, but its leaking somewhere on the what I believe is the heater core hose, its the one that runs from the top port of the degas bottle, and goes along the fire wall. its leaking enough where I smell is. Any ideas as to why this hose would be leaking, could I need head gaskets done again, also I have an egr delete.
I have had that same issue. It turns out that hose was rubbing on one of the corners of the FICM. I replaced the section and routed it a bit away from the FICM. No more problems...
I cut the hose at the pinhole, bent the solid section a bit and installed a hose splice. The added tiny bit of length and the bend gave me about 1" of clearance at that point.
