NO OIL PRESSURE ! ! !
Not building oil pressure!!!
The supply pump is suppling oil to the filter/oil cooler and the reservoir if FULL! WTF is going on? Not building oil pressure (according to the gauge) and the truck wont start. I have another thread with more details to what I have done. IF you think you have ideas PLEASE read my other thread to read what I have done. Im completely lost and cant afford to just replace the ICP or the IPR in hopes to fix it. |

I assume you mean your not building HPO pressure right, your making plenty of regular oil pressure.

Justinmix? That is a link to this thread....
HAM_RADIO_MAN: That link isn't working either. This one should: Wont start......???? |

This is the link. Sorry, put the wrong one up there first. He's not showing oil pressure on the gauge but it filled the oil filter housing and the HPOP reservoir. I belive he has a high pressure oil leak. Read it thru and see what you think. |

I read it and I agree with you and I think you got it covered pretty good. I'm gonna watch the thread and see what happens.

If you don't mind giving me your opinion on my (rare) thread, I would appreciate it.
Got a weird thing that has been going on and don't know if it is normal since I haven't been in too many 6.0 liters (believe it or not). Real problem or is it my imagination? |

late 99 psd....Im not building oil pressure on my dash gauge but theres plenty of oil and it fills the canister quickly. As for HIGH PRESSURE oil pressure I have NO clue. Did you read my other thread?
I seriously doubt my perfect working HPOP would just stop working bc I did head gaskets. I have to have a leak or my IPR or ICP sensor isnt working. But where would my leak be? When I removed the pressure rails the second time they had pressure built up inside, more like when I removed the dumby plugs the 2nd time there was a pressure release. Ive never missed with a 6.0 HPOP before so Im not sure how they suck up the oil. Is there a way that something could block/clog the oil entry point on the HPOP? Is there a screen? Cause I think the HPOP is building pressure but isnt getting enough oil. As I stated in my other thread, there was oil in the rails when I removed them the 2nd time ![]() IM LOST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No one has mentioned a missed ground wire, which I seriously doubt I missed. Should I just go ahead and replace the oil pressure sensor? What are the odds the GEROTOR supply pump is defective? Ive talk to several diesel mechanics and they said that it is rare for those to go out, specially under 200K. |
