URGENT TURBO PROBLEM!!!!! PLEASE HELP!!

I am in the Navy and I transfer in 2 weeks to Maryland from Oklahoma so I have a HUGE drive a head of me so this is a high priorority issue. My turbo blew on me last thursday and I found a turbo off of a 2003 F250 for $350 on craigslist. I took the turbo and my truck to my friends who has worked on ford diesel trucks for the last 23 years for a big dealership. He noticed that the turbo I bought has a different mounting bolt pattern. Can I just get a new turbo stand from an '03 and use on my 2005 6.0 or what? If i buy a new turbo stand and it will work, will the new turbo fit the Y pipe in the back? I know it can be done, because I have heard of people doing it to get a louder turbo. I dont care for that at this point, I just need my truck fixed before I transfer. Please help this has to be done quickly. I have to haul a trailer with my truck in a couple weeks. Thanks everyone!

I am not an expert on 6.0's so dont put your faith in me but I do believe its just the pedestal that is different.

I've read the same thing, can't think of who sells it but I'm pretty sure it exists

You need the pedistal, and the drain tube from a 2003. The bolts from the 03 have spacers/are longer as well. Not a big deal. The 03 turbo is actually fairly desirable as it is a LOT louder.

Awesome guys. I like the sounds of that. dazdillenger, do you know what something like that would run me? I will be calling some salvage yards tomorrow to see if theres anything they have in stock. Hell, Im willing to pay the price from a dealer ship if I have too. I only payed $350 for that turbo. As long as I get more people confirming that I only need a new pedistal and drain tube, im going with it.

My truck has a 2003 turbo on it, and it's a 2005. Do a search for 2003 turbo, and you will get more info than you can imagine. IT WILL FIT!!!
