Black Smoke And Shaking
About 800 miles ago, I had head gaskets, head studs, bullet proof egr cooler and oil cooler, 4" exhaust, and new passenger side heads installed. My truck started jerking and smoking when I was cruising along at road speed. If I got in the gas, it would smooth out. If I got all the way out of the gas, it would smooth out. My mechanic said it was probably the FICM. We replaced that and I still have the same problem. Now he doesn't sound real confident about where to look from here. Any suggestions?
