I have a 03 F250 6.0. I had problems with a couple injectors about a year ago. So I replaced all of them. And within 6 months I have replaced 3 of them again. And now it is almost to quit again. Please help.
Have you checked fuel pressure? Below 45psi will damage injectors.
If you never checked your fuel pressure, you may have fixed a symptom and not the underlying issue.
Ford has an updated fuel pressure regulator spring that will raise the fuel pressure into the neighborhood of 70psi.

Here is three things that are necessary for healthy 6.0 injectors:
1) Verified and steady fuel pressure at 65 PSI (with the new updated spring). You will need a fuel pressure gauge to ensure this.
2) 5W-40 Full Synthetic Oil every 5,000 miles with a Motorcraft Filter. Two bottles of Rev-X in the first batch of synthetic will ensure even healthier injectors.
Agreed, I'm going to say Fuel Pressure is the first thing to check.
Then ICR Press (via the Insight, maybe listed as something else on other units)?
Oil quality, and frequency of oil changes?
Frequency of filter changes?
You have a reason these things keep going bad, unless you're using cheap/defective replacements.
Low pressure (under 45psi) causes the injectors to not cycle correctly and cause damage. This could be the fuel pump, but it could be something as simple as the Fuel Pressure Regulator Spring (updated blue spring from Ford), or the filters themselves being clogged. You'll want to get a measurement of your Fuel Pressure, before you start throwing parts into the truck.
Problem number one right there. 15W-40 kills these injectors. Reread my previous post, and you'll never have another issue if you follow this guidelines.
Also, a bypass oil filter wouldn't be a bad idea!!
If you want something to just check it temporarily, go get an $8 oil pressure gauge from O'Reilly's and a 6.0L Test Port Adapter and hook it up.
For a permanent solution (I would recommend a permanent solution so you can know if your pump is going south) get an electrical 0-100 PSI fuel pressure gauge from any popular gauge manufacturer.
Minimal expense would be to have the dealership check it for ya, or the cheeper method stated above.
However this is a value you will want to keep an eye on over time.
If you have an Edge Insight Monitor, you need to get the Fuel Pressure expansion for it.
If not, you'll need an electric Fuel Pressure Gauge, I have an Autometer on hand just waiting for the lines to mount the sensor off the engine.
Two ways to tap in that works alright:
1) Billet Cap, to stainless line to sensor.
2) Fuel Test Port, with adaptor, to stainless line to sensor.
My Fuel Pressure gauge, is my most costly one to install (pending the parts on order), but its critical to ensure injector life. I picked the gauge up from Strictly Diesel, and the plumbing from Autozone.com (which is the delay).
Strictly sells the adapter need to be able to monitor the fuel pressure at the filter housing. Comes with the hose so you can locate the sending unit elsewhere.

Ok. I hooked to a computer it said #5 injector was bad. So I replaced it. And the o ring was bad on it. I also ordered and put on the kit with the blue spring. The first time I ran check it said #2 and #5 were bad. And it never said 2 again. Now it is white smoke at idle and pouring out smoke going down road. HELP PLEASE!!!
No didn't clean it out. How long should it take for it to burn it out. Truck power is ok. Just smokes terrible. Oh and I also changed my oil to rotella full syn.
After running truck hard for a few miles up the road everything cleared up and its running great. Thank to all who replied. Bill
