2006 f350 shuts off when i unplug icp?

hey all, 2006 f350 6.0, bunch of repairs done, now runs erratic sometimes while idling, gets real loud and idle speed increases. not like cold weather high idle though. unplugged icp as its asiest place to start out and truck just shuts off. dont have scanner today to look at sensors. also have two codes for icp sensor ckt range performance. runs fine except the crazy idle sometimes. where should i go from here

I have a 03 that had the same thing going on and couldnt pin point the problem till i took it to the dealer and it ended up being the ipr which is around $300. Now it idles fine but before it would rev up on its own and back down just like it had a mind of its own.

thanks for replying, was playing around with it, took it for a nice test drive, all cleared up then tried to restart it but no luck...... just crank and crank, no fuel delivery. not sure the whole status of the high pressure oil system but let it sit a day and everything has repaired itself. maybe air was in system somewhere or something of that sort cause its all good now
