Codes?
My father-in-law's 06 6.0 has these check engine codes: P0299 and P0611. Could someone tell me what these codes are?
Thanks, Cory |

P0299 - Turbo Underboost (leak somewhere or stuck veins maybe?)
P0611 - FICM (looks like you'll be buying a new FICM here shortly) Do you have a gauge setup in it? CS / CTS / Scangauge II etc? Your FICM voltage should read 48v (+/- 1 volt never to drop below 46v) at Key On Engine Off, Cranking and at idle. If it's below 46v you need to replace the FICM. How to test FICM |

Thanks,
His turbo probably needs cleaning. He doesn't drive the truck much or drive it hard. Would low batteries or a bad batteries throw the FICM code? |
