Ford dealer has had my 2005 f-250 for 3 weeks
I took truck to dealer because would not start well and had idle problems, dealer put new cam sensor in was not the problem. many tests later ford says truck needs new engine harness for $3500 but cannot guarantee this will work. they say it could also be a bad pcm valve for another $2800 any advice?

Most likely not wiring harnes or pcm could be ficm or icp, are you monitoring your engine as well?

What exactly is the symptom? For what it's worth, I just had a 2005 F-550 on my doorstep about three weeks ago that was randomly stalling, most easily duplicated when making left turns. Changing the main engine harness and CMP sensor repaired this truck successfully if it helps. For the record, this truck was not throwing any codes. It was dropping FICM_SYNC during every stalling event. $3500 for an engine harness? I vaguely recall the harness for a 2005 costing about $900. What are they quoting in labour to replace it?
