No start
2005 ford f350 diesel. Had been running fine. Had a oil change at a national chain. Then wouldn't start when hot. Took it somewhere else, redid the oil. To make sure right oil was put in. Still will start and run great after it sits. Will run fine but if you turn it off it will not start again for a couple of hours. They think it might be the oil pressure. Should we replace the oil pump? What else should be replaced?

This sounds like the fitting on the HPOP it is looks like a quick connect. If you don't get at least 500-1000psi oil it is that part on HPOP.
I had went to fl to get a toy hauler and stoped at rest area truck would not start. Replace the 2 HP oil tubes on the heads the IPR valve. This one part on pump wAs the proble It would take longer and longer till it finally wouldn't start at all. |
