Diagnostice Help Needed
03 6.0 F350
I'm new to the diesel world but have an issue. When under load at highway at speeds, 2200 to 2500 rpm 6.0 engine makes a sound like waste gate dumping on large diesels. Sounds like "chew" or "chew chew chew" makes the truck buck abit until it stops. When you think it will, it won't and when you think it won't, it does. Seems random. From reading EGR posts, thought that could be an issue. Was surprised at how clean the EGR valve looked...lite sooting as it should be...nothing wet looking, totally dry soot. Everything is factory except for the Ram Air Inlet. Note: It did this before the Ram Air was installed. No problems off the line, just at highway speeds. According to the dealership and $150.00 later, they say that everything checks out perfectly. EvilEye has given some great suggestions(I'm extremely appreciative), but before I invest anymore in diagnostics, I thought I would formerly post and ask for any other things I could easily check. Anyone have anymore suggestions...please? |

you'll be surprised with how many issues arrise from egr valves and coolers. the best thing to do with a 6.0 is to delete that system. that valve could be fluctuating which can be messing with all the sensors sending the system into total confusion. spend the 250 and 5 hours of your time. and save yourself the trouble of hundreds of issues including possible blown hgs in the future.

So, in detail, how does one go about deleting the EGR loop from the system?
