Gas Pedal doesn't work

not really an engine problem but....

So I fired up the truck and backed out of the drive and put in in drive and hit the go pedal.........nada........

I cycle the key and it works,

today it did it 3 times but the third time it was good,

the check engine light came on but had not had a chance to scan it..

has anyone else had this happen...

2003 F-250 SCREW cab.. 6.0 ?

Thanks!

lol, long gone my friend. THe internationals at work were having a terrible problem with this for a while. One day i had to pull over every 100 yds or so and shut it down, restart and drive. I was lost at first, It did the same thing it would be running fine and them all of the sudden the gas pedal just did nothing, it would idle and that was the end of it.

The mechanic came out and replaced the pedal assembly and it was as good as new.

that doesn't look like mine in the link you gave..

mine has adjustable pedals, that will probably add a couple hundred to it, right?

Update.....

So I replaced my pedal and the truck still does it from time to time,

believe it or not after scanning it showed an FICM (Is that right)

would that have anything to do with my throttle problem?
