2003 powerstroke 6.0 FICM question
Let me start by saying, thank god for you guys and this forum!!!! Although I was a finance manager for several years for a local ford dealer this is the first diesel i have owned.
I started to notice a slight miss/hesitation and didnt want to rev above 22-2500 rpm until the turbo kicked in. Anyways i started looking into this forum and just doing some typical maintence that i thought may be the issue, like changing the fuel filters, oil, taking egr out and cleaning and istalling new gasket and seals, replaced a weak battery, adding fuel additive to clean injectors and boost octane. Still same problem,so i checked the FICM,had 47 volts with key on and only like 20 volts with the truck started. Looks like this is my problem duhMy question is will it damage anything if the truck is driven a couple hundred miles? |

it may be alright... but if you could avoid driving it untill you get that fixed... I wouldn't drive it.. it could also take out your injectors (any were from one to all)...

Thanks... I just took off the ficm and plan to get one from Swamps diesel here in Tenn. What is the difference between the 48v and the 58v? Does it give you more power? If so,about how much? Thanks.
