Loud, Obnoxious Whistling Sound!!

I have a whistling sound that is much louder than standard turbo whistle. I tried unplugging the wires to my turbo and it stopped. Plug them back in it starts agian. It is pretty much only at an idle. A lot of times if I push the brake pedal all the way to the floor it will stop temporarily or if I turn the steering wheel. It also goes away if I increase the RPMs. Occasionally when I first start it I won't get the whistle until I actually press the go pedal to accelerate and then it goes away quickly.

I'm thinking maybe up-pipe. And by doing these different things it is dragging the motor enough to change the airflow.

Any ideas?

and it is embarassing to let my truck idle. Even at a stoplight.

I can't figure it out either. I have searched threads on here but haven't found anything that describes the issues I'm having.

After looking at it this evening, I'm pretty sure it's the passenger-side up-pipe. There is black soot around the upper folds of the flex portion of the up-pipe. I used a bar to press on that area while the truck was idling and when I would hold pressure on it, the whistling would stop.

Now I just have to figure out the best way to fix it. I am thinking about trying this mod:

I'm assuming I would need to get another up-pipe that is not cracked though. Any suggestions?
