i have a 06 6.0 and it has a severe cold start and it runs extremely bad until it gets all the way to operating temp and then it still misses bad. so i figured it was the injectors well i checked all of them with a balloon and no air came through either line. i replaced the ficum about two years ago and dont know if it would go bad again i guess any thing is possible. i did check the harness for chaffed wires but i have found any yet i'm gonna look closer tonight but i figure they would be pretty obvious. i had it flashed early last summer and i know it had some dtc's about low injector circuits i just dont want to replace it again if its not that. it runs much better when i have the programmer on a hot custom tune but it still misses some i dont know if that makes a diffence or not. i took the egr valve out and it was horribly gunked up but i'm putting a delete kit on any ways and i dont think it would cause the problem i am having. any help would be appreciated very much i know there are some very knowledgeable people on here i stay on this forum all the time just reading

I'm not a mechanic but when I had a bad glow pug mine smoked a lot more than normal when cold. When I had 3 injectors fail mine didn't smoke any which told me it wasn't getting any fuel. Just a personal experience I thought I would pass on.

My truck wouldn't even fire if it was cold out. It was the FICM. Heres how you test it.
