blows turbo intake hose
I have a 2006 F250 6.0 that is still under warranty. Ford just put a turbo and one injector on the truck. I told them I was loosing water, from the degas bottle, they even added a 1/2 gal of water. Seen to be OK until I got to Mexico 2,000 miles later and Mexico Ford said I need a egr cooler so they put one on. WELL now the check engine light is on then it go out, want start sometimes ,thought it was fuel filters so changed them no help.Blows the intake hose to the turbo I have tighten the clamps and they are tight. It may be idling perfect then all at once it starts to shake and sputter. At a STOP sometimes it feel like someone bump you from the rear and the rpm gage is not steady. Fuel Mileage is terrible. I am in Mexico now and want to wait till I return to the US for repairs. What do you think ? And if it's a blown head gasket will it get me back to US?

Doesn't sound like blown head gaskets. The Ford degas bottle cap is awful; even the updated one. Get a Murray cap from your local Auto parts store. As for the intake hose, you need a new one. I had this happen to me and the new boot fixed it. Gotta make sure it's not too tight, otherwise your gonna bend the IC tube. Sounds like you could have some injector stiction. Did Ford run a diagnostic on your truck? Also, from my experience--Never assume it's fixed. I bought several Remaned injectors/turbo and they were bad.
Have you checked your alternator? |
