starting and running problem

I've had it 6 days, 6 days and the problems start. it has not liked to start when warm, but eventually would.

There has been a couple times after warmup, there is no power. I mean, I push the accelerator and nothing, just idle. The idle will usually slow and the truck tries to shake itself apart and blows dark smoke. I shut it off, start it back up and no problems, runs fine.

Tonight, start with no problem. Idles fine to warmup. Go to drive and no throttle. Idle slows and it dies. Start up and same thing after 3 attempts, I just took another vehicle.

Tomarrow after work I figure I'll start by checking voltage in the ficm.

Aside from that, what? hpop, fuel pump?

It's going to the shop Thurs afternoon for diagnostics. I don't have the computer and sorta like pulling straws out of a haybale. Can't wait for the tow bill.
