STC fitting for the HPOP is pretty common on the 05+ trucks.

plug your icp sensor back in, clear codes, and then see what your icp voltage is. It should be between .15 and .35 volts key on engine off. It has to be a min of .8 volts while cranking for the engine to start. The p2285 code is more than likely from you unplugging the icp sensor. The p2289 code is defined as icp pressure high key on engine off. Could have been caused by a wacky sensor or by the oil that you found in the connector. Oil in the connector means that the sensor is failing anyway. As dhanna said the stc fitting is a very well known cause for this concern, however you should air test it with shop air, command the ipr valve closed and listen for leaks under the valve covers or the high pressure oil pump cover (where the stc fitting is located).

i changed the stc fitting to the new stlye 4 mo. ago. seem to get the 2289 code everytime i scan it. even after it is cleared. can i check the volts via scan tool? cause it have a voltage option, and it seems to be 4.25 while cranking.

Yes you should be able to watch voltage with your scanner. With that code I'm more worried about what the sensor reads koeo (key on engine off).

There is a wire from the IPR that you can supply 12 volts to and it will close the valve. I'll try to find which one it is.
