Truck shuts down

Thanks for any help!

When you go to pass someone at wot! my truck will shut down like you let out of it. And the water in fuel light will flash a few times.

I have pulled the plug in the pump. And I have put new filters in since it started doing this.
It has been doing this for a month now. It is fine for all other driving.

You could have corrosion in there. I was getting my water in fuel message and drained the thing twice a day for 3 days. The last time I did, I pulled the plug all the way out and there was some rusty gunk on the end. Cleaned it off and I haven't gotten the code again. Maybe the truck is designed to defuel when the water in fuel is indicated. I don't really know. Hope you figure it out and when you do, please post your resulting fix..
