rattling at idle
hello,
got an 04' 6.0L with 129,000 on her. question is when the truck is sitting and idling it makes a rattle/clatter noise. Almost sounds like it is coming from the fan/fan clutch. Have had ford look at it and they said everything is good to go and couldn't explain it. When the truck goes into high idle, it immediatly goes away. Thoughts or experience, thanks. |

OP, do you have an aftermarket turbo back exhaust? Could be the downpipe rubbing against the firewall if you do.

I have an MBRP but it did this before I put the exhaust on.........this was doing this noise almost from brand new, I'd say with around 15K it started. pretty much from day one, just sounds kinda ghetto when your drinking beer with your buddy's in the parking lot.
