What is the model year, mileage and maintenance/repair history of the truck in question? How has it been determined to have a failed high pressure oil pump?

its an 06 104000 miles, new turbo oil cooler, egr delete, oil changed every 3000 miles and fuel filters every 15000.
it hasnt been determined but thats what the tech is telling me it will probably be. it starts hard when cold and cycling the glow plugs makes no difference.

lets say it is a hpop that is bad where the heck can i get a new one that aint from ford? Dieselsite's arent out yet and they are supposed to be hopped up I just want a factory rated one if it is bad, and I change my oil regularly and use either powerstroke 10w30 or mobile delvac 15w40. Should I run a synthetic? And before I drop my oil to change it is it safe to run a can of seafoam through it. I used the heck outa that stuff in my big block.

Hard cold starts arent the HPOP normally.

Did the tech look at the truck or is he just guessing

Check your FICM, make sure it has 46 volts coming out of it. You have to check it from the top of the module with a volt meter. Directions are in the 6.0 forum
