Engine Oil temp sender

Two questions...

1. does it have the same thread as the EOP sensor which is listed #4 o-ring

2. why when I disconnect the engine oil temp sensor does my insight still register and read EOT??

Thanks in advance

The EOT and ECT are the same sensor and they are interchangable. That is actually how I check to make sure the EOT sensor isnt giving me incorrect info. I will switch them and see what my temps look like. If you disconnect the EOT sensor I think it should default to a preprogrammed value.
