No boost when cold??

The last few days starting the truck in the single digits I have no boost for several miles while the engine is cold and then suddenly the turbo wakes up. The truck threw and EBP code (P0470). Any advice?

You could check the EBP sensor 'cause if that sensor is blocked or plugged it could throw that code.

It only happens with these really low single digit temps though...It has to have something to do with the weather. Has anybody else had this happen?

Mine did that to, i thought they were supposed to so it would cause back pressure causing the truck to warm up faster

Could be, but why would it throw a code and CEL?

Only if it's parked will the warm up feature work ie.. high idle. I'm not positive but when it's single or sub 0 temps mine also does it. The only thing that I think is happening is the truck is trying to save itself. Like it's programed to not let it boost to high until the block is warm. I Think I'm NOT positive about that though. As for the code that could be thrown because you are trying get on it or drive when the block is not warm yet. You may be not getting a complete fuel burn or something else that is causing it to trow a code. Like I said before check the sensor and start at the source and work from there. Good luck!
