2003 6.0 ICP Code 2285

My buddy has an 03 6.0 throwing an ICP code 2285. The truck is running fine, I do not believe he has a tuner in it. There is no oil leaking from it. Is it getting ready to fail?

Might be the ICP sensor going out. '03' sensor is located on right valve cover next to the GPM. Check your wires and ground first. Wait a second '03' ICP maybe behind the Turbo. If so, doable with the right equipment, but no fun...

Yes- it is behind turbo. I told him to start planning for it... Ive had them apart that far deleting my egr. Not fun... But if I do it for him, way better than bending over at the dealership.

This best describes location: On a 2003 6.0L the ICP sensor is located behind and down below the turbo facing the drivers side. Both the regulator (IPR) and sensor (ICP) are there. The ICP is the furthest back and it should have a silver covered insulator covering it. It may help you to know that the ICP is a three wire connector and the IPR is a two color wire.
