2003 Ford F-350 problem

I'm thinking about buying a 2003 6.0L and on start up it starts and starts blowing tons of white smoke and has a nocking sound when runing. The guy says the motor is blown what do you guys think. Has a new turbo new injectors shows it has oil pressure. Any help would be great. Thanks chris

Minimum, it has a blown EGR cooler. Could possibly have blown head gaskets and bad oil cooler as well.

I agree w dhanna, Sounds like the egr cooler is blown. If the guy thinks the engine is blown i'd shoot him a low offer on the "blown truck" replace the egr cooler and you just got a hell of a deal
