need some help
hi i have a 2006 f250 with just over 100.000 miles summer of 2010 truck was at dealer for egr cooler and oil cooler job. mechanic told me that when everything was out he also took turbo apart to clean it up and everything seemed okay now in winter when i start the truck to warm up truck bumps idle up and i can hear turbo whistle but then all of sudden it stops few seconds and can hear whistle again and few seconds goes off again and it keeps doing that all the time. any ideas what it could be? thax in advance

If it's just the whistle, not the rpm's, it is just the turbo vanes cycling at idle. It's part of the latest Ford ecm flash, nothing to worry about.

this is normal. he programed it while it was in. what you are hearing is fords way of keeping the unicen ring and vanes clean. it with cycle the vanes all the way and back to clean carbon from them. normal.

ok thank u. its just turbo whistle no rpm change. i thought something was wrong because the winter before i could hear the turbo whistle constantly

Yes, you can add me to the list to tell you that it's completely normal to hear the turbo whistling, as per Ford's latest caibration level 6U7A-12A650-FFE for 2006/2007 6.0L F-250/F-350. Which dealer did you have this work done at, if you don't mind me asking?
