Running Rough @ 2000rpms, need advice!
I have an 03 F350 6.0. I have an Edge Juice w/attitude programmer, 5" MBRP turbo back exhaust & K&N intake. Truck runs fine until between 1750-2250 rpms. Its a hesitation/stutter. Above those rpms it runs fine. I changed fuel filters & cleaned EGR valve (thanks to the site for instructions). Before today, EGT ran about 800-900* going down highway @ 65-70, after I did the work today & took it for a "test drive" I noticed EGT running around 1000-1100*. Im not sure what normal operating temp is for EGT. No smoke, white, blue or black when its doing the hesitation. I have tried to look for help on previous posts, but nothing really desc my problem. Any suggestions or links would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance

sounds like a bad injector, I've had to replace a few and have the same problem again!!! First check at a stop in park rev up to the 1750-2250 range you say it shudders at and watch your RPM. If you can see it bounce a little and you can feel the truck vibrate/shake a bit that is your problem, get a good scanner on it and it might throw a code for injector # low circuit. It may NOT throw an injector code however, I have a bad injector at the moment as well, I have a miss range at around 1500-2000 shakes like a mother in overdrive when you step on it, but you can "drive through" it. It may also be low pressure on your tranny lines, I have heard of that to with a tuned truck, but I would almost bet that you have a bad or sticky injector

I will check it out in a stopped position. It does do it when I have the cruise set and goin about 60-70 range, sometimes it'll make the dash rattle when it does it. I have noticed that if i turn the edge up to the 4 stage, it does a little better than@ the stock setting. I had the transmission replaced @ my local ford STEALERSHIP in June '10, so i would hope they would've solved all the tranny problems. The dealership I bought it from had a few injectors replaced in Jan/Feb '10 & he told me i may have some issues with the remaining ones in the next few yrs. I bought an extended warranty thru my crediy union & luckily injectors are covered! Guess I will be makin a trip to the Ford place soon! Thanks for ur response, I was about to give up on any help!

I also was just reading another post with the same problem, his problem ended up being a bent pushrod and cracked rocker valve. Can do a contribution test to check I suppose, but if your missing at a stop its got to be an injector issue I would think. Sticky spool valve most likely problem with them, best to just replace the ones you havnt yet and then you don't have to worry for a while, good luck!
