This is for a buddy but he tore into his 04 6.0 with 135k miles on it and found this. He doesn't know what would cause this. He's gonna rebuild it and stud it just curious as to what happened.

Looks like it dropped a valve, the valve broke and fell into the cyl. Who knows why they break but they can and do on any engine.

What's the whole story on this truck? What did it do before it blew? Obviously it ate 2 valves but I'm not sure why.

Honestly thus truck is what gives 6.0 bad name. Lets see 7-8 injectors hpop oil cooler egr stuff ficm he's had this truck less then 2 years it been down more then on the road. Sad thing this truck is so nice has every options you could get sunroof power everything just a lemon I guess.

well as you said last two years . what about before that? lets see a good picture of one of the other pistons . is there any signs of some hacker in there before he got the truck? why did he tear into it ? what sound was it making before? are the rods bent on that cylinder ?

He tore into.it cause of a not start situation and he thought it was locked up. Don't know about previous owner on the way home when he bought it the icp sensor crapped out on him. I tried to.tell him from that day get rid of that but obviously he didn't lol. I don't have any other pics ill see if he can send me some more.
