Weird Power Steering / Brake sound after WOT??

So I've been noticing a strange sound after a quick WOT pull. Usually this happens when we shoot across an intersection on the way to take my boy to school, or after a hard WOT pull. It sounds like the power steering pump or something, with a load hum. When you turn the wheel or touch the brakes it gets louder.

It goes away after a few minutes of normal driving, or if you shut the truck off.

Any ideas?? This is an 03 Excursion with a 6.0 (137K).

Also have what sounds to be a pulley or belt squeak that is driving me nuts. Not sure if the two are connected or what.

Thanks for any help in advance!!

-Will

Nevermind, helps to check the power steering fluid level; it was a half quart low (DOH!). Added some Mobil 1 Syn ATF. Seems to be fine now.
