Wheres the coolant going??????
After a oil change I checked all my fluids as usual. I noticed that my coolant was low, so I topped it off and thought nothing of it again. Well we got some snow, so I hooked up the plow and went off to work. On the way I noticed my ect had got over 200. I thought it was because of the plow deverting the air over the radiator. Then all of a sudden the ect temp shout up to 240. I pulled over and could smell antifreeze. After inspecting the reservior was empty with steam coming out. So I filled up the antifreeze reservior and started it back up. The ect was normal. Got home that evening and did a double check on the antifreeze, everything was ok. Now today (3 days later) I decided to check on it again just in case. WTF the reservior was low again and I could smell antifreeze again in the engine bay. Wheres it going? Its not on the ground or coming out the tail pipe. Any ideas????

is it getting pressurized and pushed out the degas reservoir.??? is there a white chalky residue all over it.

i guessing you truck still has the egr cooler... its probably cracked and pressuring the system... if its not that i would say head gaskets then.. get it fix right away before it causes more problems. bad egr cooler can cause blown head gaskets over time and or a hydro lock

Yep. I still have the egr. I'll look into deleting it.

I might just take it into the dealer and let them do the work. Its still under warrenty. just hope the sct doesn't void the warrenty.

most guy get away with it... just unlock the programmer and take it out of the truck and you should be good.. drive it for a lil on stock so it clears up.

Good sounds like a good idea. I should be good anyways the truck previous owner had a edge programmer on it but took it off and left the display box on the dash. So I should have a leg to stand on IF something goes bad since they sold me a warrenty knowing that it was in the truck.
