EGR Delete Installed, Truck Won't Run

I finished installing an EGR delete on my '03 F250 yesterday. When I went to fire the truck up, it would just crank and crank. Finally got it to start, and let it idle for 10 minutes. Idle was rough, and was slow to build RPM's when pressing the throttle. The standard diesel injector knock sound seemed louder than before. I shut it off, and tryed to restart with no luck. This morning I got it started again after charging the batteries. I let it run for 45 minutes this time hoping it would straighten up. It kept running rough with now power and slow to build RPM's. Shut it off and no restart again. It is acting like it is running out of fuel, but the tank is full and it was running fine when I pulled it in the shop. I finally have gotten it to start when cranked, but if you try to apply throttle it has no power. When you pull it into gear, it dies. I talked to the Ford Tech that works on all of my work powerstrokes, and he believes it is the engine wiring harness. He claims the '03 and early '04 harnesses are almost too fragile to work around. Any help will be greatly apreciated. The truck is stock except for a straight pipe. The only problem with the truck before was low power when cold. Intake was carboned up pretty bad.

how old are the batteries? If you test them they have to be tested seperatately or else you will get a false reading. Check out the no start troubleshoot thread in my signature. good luck

Got it fixed. Pulled all the intake tubing back off and was checking all of the electrical conections. Finally found a broken plug on the FICM. I didn't undo these plugs, but one of the tabs was broken on it. It must have pilled loose while doing the rest of the work. Bought a new injector harness and installed it . The truck is running great now. Thanks Chango for the info. I used the no start thread and wire chaffing info you had to start checking the harnesses, and that is when I noticed one of the plugs was sticking out of the FICM a fraction of an inch farther than the two.
