04 6.0L No Power when driving

My brother has a 04 f250, Auto 4x4 6.0L. It states 03 on the valve cover of the motor. Truck has K&N intake and 5" turbo back as far as performance mods. I know it needs a EGR delete kit, but was told I need a tuner as well so i am saving the $.

Problem is when you start the truck and drive it it takes a while to warm up and shift and will smoke some blue. I had our bud a ford tech do a contribution test and injectors looked ok. we have cleaned the EGR several times. He believes there is a "coking" problem with the intake and turbo. If you let it idle for a 5 minutes or so after it is warmed up and go drive it it will smoke blue for a few minutes then clear up.

Now after a few weeks of snow plowing here in Ohio it seems to be acting worse. Truck has no power. Would this be the turbo completely clogged and not building boost? Looking for any help before I tear off the intake and turbo to clean and just order the egr delete and cooler kit. Any help would be great. Thanks

Do you notice Turbo boost building? Maybe you Vanes in the turbo are not responding correctly or possibly clogged. Also use some injector cleaner. There is Alot of poor fuel that is causing injection issues, stiction, misses, and low power

alot of the 6.0s and 7.3s have blue gray smoke at start up alot of it has to do with sticktion try thinner oil, syntetic and addative like hot shot secret or rev... gray blue smoke can also mean egr is plugged or heads are lifted or craked all the norm 6.0 problems best thing to do is take it to a dealer and have them diagnose it, if its a plow truck and your in ohio weather looks like it might be needed soon i picked mine up today from dealer had to replace fuel injecton control, they scanned it for 130 for me. i plowed all night and day the other night and couldnt excede thirty five the whole time, very fun.

How much did they get you for the FICM? Do you have any mods done to your truck at all?
