FICM failure?
Just replaced batteries one brand new the other is maybe 4 months old but has load tested good and charged. All fuses are fine, truck turns over great but no start. Yetsterday it was kind of trying to start but would just stutter. Every now and then would start idle for a second then die. Now It does not want to fire at all. Tested FICM. Key on getting 18v until glow plugs warm up then jumps to 48v. Start cranking and drops to 11v and jumps around between 11v-18v jumped to 30v once I noticed, stop cranking and right back to 48v. Sounds like bad FICM, does this sound like its repairable by doing the FICM reapir procedure in the tech files or does it sound like I need to bite the bullet and get a new one?

Do the repair... It is free... If it doesn't work, then get a new one.
Either way, you need to get it fixed (repair or new/repaired), that is your problem... |
