mine did the same thing hard start the last couple weeks today nothing. there are a couple things to check. FICM and icp voltage. are the big ones. You need to see 48v out of the FICM at all times and .8 volts through the icp sensor while crankingthis will tell the truck its got 500psi out of the hpop. I ended up wiht a cobination of problems both a bad hpop and ficm.

When you did get it started the first time, was it running rough? Or was it running normal?

the truck idled fine for 30 minutes. died within 5 miles. thought it might be gel, temp was in single digits. tried both fuel filters. and two batteries. when I did check the oil it was not on the dipstick(embarased to say). the truck wont even fire with starting fluid.

Alright I had the same problem.
I changed my oil... and forgot to put the new oil in. It ran for about 15 seconds and then killed itself. Good thing to. Anyway it wouldn't start afterwards so I just kept turning it over for about 5 seconds every 30 seconds. After a couple of minutes of the oil pump getting oil to the things it needed, it worked. I love this truck. She even forgives me when I try anal with no lube. Thanks hun! |

thanks for the tip sounds like you got lucky. I am still stranded. If I had anal lube i would be headed back to the dealer that sold this junk truck.
