Truck will start but wont move

I just recently purchased an 05 F250 6.0 Super Duty, and fell in love with this truck right away, big upgrade from my old dodge, tell today when i let my wife barrow it, i got a call from work saying that the truck was broken, i arrive at the truck and jump in and start it up, it started up right away starts idling fine, when i go to put the truck in drive and press the gas smoke bellows out the back and acts like its running out of gas, in park i try to give it gas and cant get the truck above 2000 RPMS it just seems like it has no power, any one have any idea on how to fix this or had this problem before,

sounds like it might be a plugged egr valve.

studs,egr delete(sinister),dieselsite coolant filter, nuc oil bypass, dj's fuel + regulated fuel return, sct by eric, 4in silverline no cat, isspro gauges, cat elc coolant, hids, lots of other odds and ends......

would this cause it to act like its out of fuel, it dont act like its out fuel unless i step on the throttle, at an idle its fine, but wont move, im so confused, actually just new to the truck

Do you know what the condition of your fuel filters are or when were they replaced last?

yes and will cause the smoking, id pull your egr out and clean it with brake cleaner first.

Thanks Guys.. This sight really is amazing, ill let you guys know what happens, not sure when they were changed ive only had the truck for four months but either way im sure it wouldnt hurt to be replaced,

i think you are a jackass!!!! and only because I had to come and pull your truck home for you!!!!!!!! hahahahahaha, brake cleaner is only about $3 can!! so when are we gonna fix it?

just be sure not to get brake cleaner in the two small holes that go to the egr valve motor or whatever is up in top. found out the hard way it F's em up quick...
