oil pan take out

i know on the 7.3 you can pull the motor or drop the tranny and jack the motor up and fish the pan out that way but can you do the same with a 6.0. ford told me all you have to do is just drop the pan but i find that hard to believe. not much room under there.

but is it possible to take it out without pulling the engine or droping the tranny and jacking it up?
