Engine Stalled

Hey I have a couple of questions and would love some help. It will be my first powerstroke and I have heard the problems with the 6.0 and have done a lot of research, but I am maintenance orientated so I think if this owner who is the only owner kept maintaing it, should be good?
I am looking at buying a 2004 F350 CC/LB with 230,000. The truck seems like a good deal and I drove it today and it drove great for a 1 ton with over 200,. But within the first 5 minutes of driving I had to stop really fast at this light and the truck just stalled out of nowhere, I put it in park and it started right back up. I drove it for about another 45 min. after that an had no problems and was driving it hard without any problems. The transmission and all of the above felt good.
The owner said it had never happened before and he seems like a very truthful person and the whole truck is clean inside and out. Everything on the truck is stock, has never been chipped or anything. Just a 4inch lift with about 35's.
Does anyone have any thought on why it would just stall out, and start back up without any trouble.
